We are an intergenerational church who encourages children to sit in the service! We know, however, that not all little ones will be able to sit through the service. We have a nursery in place for 0-3 year old children. Sunday School classes are provided from the age of 2-13. Sunday School starts at 9:45 and ends at 10:45.

WHAT WE VALUE

Integrate Children

The principle of integration applies to our approach to children as well as others.  So children are with the whole body in worship services, home groups, etc.  We find that children are a vital blessing to the body and it can be quite helpful to the parents.

Discovery Groups

The principle of integration is not limited to Sunday mornings. We have found value in continuing integration throughout the week. Discovery Groups meet once a week throughout the fall and spring. Children are invited to participate within these weekly meeting. We recognized that little ones are wiggly and have a short attention span. It is not an inconvenience for members of Hope Church to have little wiggles during Discovery Group. We welcome the little ones and desire for them to be exposed to the truth of God’s word at a young age.

Sunday School

We have Sunday school classes starting at the age two. Our goal during Sunday school is to teach children at a young age about “the hope of the gospel…” Colossians 1:23. God’s word is taught every Sunday along with crafts, games, and songs for the little ones. Sunday school is from 9:45- 10:45.
